Hi Girl's and Guy's

I'm new here. I hope i post for the right place my message. Forgive me if sometimes my English is not correct, but unfortunatelly i've learned only German at school. So i'm Völcsei Péter from Hungary, i live and i work in the Netherlands. I member for that site, cause i've a custom made Fiat Brava Hgt. So far it's in Hungary by my friend, who compleet all of the installation and i'll pick it up on the next weekend. I'd like to visit some tuning meetings in The Netherlands but so far i didn't found any webpage about information, or places. If you could send me any links for tuning meetings, i'd be gratefull.
Thanks

Best Regards

Péter

P.S: i guess for the first time i post for somebodys page, sorry for that

Wrong!
There are Brava HGT's for sure...
Correct me if i'm wrong, they have a 1.8 under the hood.

There is a brazilian guy who posts frequently on this forum; he has a brava hgt as well.

Hello

Thanks for the respect, i'm a member of the Hungaryan Fiatbravo site too.
I were just surfing trough internet for some tuning things, fiat club, meetings and fortunatelly i found the right page. First of all i'm looking for Fiat meetings in The Netherlands, cause that project cost me a lot and now i don't really want to spend few houndred euros just to travel abroad, like Belgium and so on. I'll try to post here a link for a Hungaryan site where you can find pictures of the Car, about the whole process which we made, so far i don't have there pictures from the finished product, but soon i'll post these pictures too. I guess you won't understand anything from my language, but even you don't have too. Just watch carefully and if you've any questions, just let me know

Greetings

if i see it correctly, you placed a 2.0 20v 5 cilinder from a HGT in your brava.

I have a 1.8 bravo and a donor marea 2.0 and considered to make the same engine swap you did but i don't have the time to make that happen.
I'm very curious how you did it and how the car is driving.

I saw your car and it looks awesome! thumbsup.gif
Did you chance the doorhandles for Alfa147 ones? Looks great biggrin.gif
I did this too on my car shiny.gif

I'll need my best english skills to answer for your question....i'll try....Huhh

Well, the car has 2.0 20V 147Bhp, 186Nm engine, 5 cylinders. It's like an Bravo Hgt but in Brava chassis. They build me even airco in, i hope that's the right word. So the whole process started with buying a Bravo Hgt in perfect condition. Than to take the engine for . so small pieces, change the main components for new one, caues when the engine is in, there's no way to fix anything. Even if you've to change the belts, you've to take the engine out. When this stage was ready, take out my old 1.6 engine, change all of the cabels, instruments like Rpm, Kmh, fuel, water, build in the hydraulic clutch, big brakes in a front, disc brakes in the back, compleet suspension with new shocks and telescope, aircondition and the engine. (i'm not an expert, so i only let you know what they did, but if this is the right order, i don't know) I've some bodywork and new paint too, new tyres with new rims, alarm too.

Fiat did produce Brava Hgt but only in Brazil with 1.8 engine, the same engine like Barchetta got, 133Bhp. The whole process took 3 and a half months...but i'm the only one who's got Brava Hgt in Hungary.... Well there's one more Fiat Brava, we've a say for it, it's not driving fast, IT'S FLYING LOW. It's an Brava V6, they swaped an 3.2 V6 Alfa Gtv engine in it, 250Bhp. It's produced by the same guy like my car, the owner has an blog about the car, i'll post it here. There you can find some pictures about the whole process

Sorry Guys but i'm really tired... if i forget something, just let me know

Brava V6

I try to open that site now but there's an information, that coming soon. I guess the guy makes some changes on his site......

I've 5 doors so for me would be difficult to change them. I could change but than at the back i'd have to clear the doors and that i don't want to. If anything happens on the road and somebody is sitting at the back, it's important to open the doors as soon as it's possible.

Anyway thanks

Well i guess Venlo isn't that far away from Here. We can meet once somewhere between the citys..... I'll show you the car and we'll make a round, fortunatelly i've Hungaryan licence plate, if the police catch me with an fix radar, i won't get a fine.... yes_new.gif yes_new.gif yes_new.gif

Nice brava.

Your right, with the hgt there is no place to work under the hood, like you say, you have to get the motor out to change the belt.
I know what kind of work that is, couse i did that twice whith my bravo hgt.

You can see pictures of that in my project topic.

Hello

I really like Brava. I could take another, much younger car now, but i decide to keep it and to renovate it. There are not to many cars, specially sedan with 5 doors, which has so nice curves, shape. It's low but still wide, not so big but comfortable for a whole family. I made many times the journey between Hungary and The Netherlands or even more if i had to do something at home, but i never felt pain in my back.

That meeting in Germany sounds great besides it's just 100-150km from here. Am i right that you're living in Utrecht? If you would drive there, which way do you take, i guess not to Harderwijk and than direction Arnhem? We can talk about it, i like that idea. we could meet somewhere and drive together, or how you imagine that? Thanks for the invitation

Greets Péter
Danny
i 'd like to go to.
we can arrange a meeting place, maybe there are more people who want to join us
BravaHGT
Woww, another Hgt owner

You know what's passion, when you turn the keys first to ignition and than to start 5 cylinder. Untill now i could drive the car just once but i LOVE it's sound. How the engine awakes, lovely...

Thats what i call big maintanence. What did you do with your engine? These pictures you made when you change belt?

Greetings

Sure, i'm in. Hopefully i'll drive back the car on the next weekend. Hopefully because it's in perfect condition but you know, the devil never sleeps and it's a really huge modification what they did. I'll post some comments about my trip to here, if we arrive and than we can look forward for that meeting. Ir would be nice to have more people together and to arrange a small Fiat meeting.

Guys!!!! Is there anybody with some music installation experience and with an small garage with tools? So far the music is not working in the car and i'm not sure if they will have time or the specialist to fix it, everything is on it's place, speakers, amplifier, subwooofer just i guess the cabels are not connected. I'd like to do it by myself because maybe it's just half an hour work but if i bring it to a shop, they will ask houndreds of euros, because it took them 5 hours. So if there is anybody who could help me in that, please give me a shout, i'd be gratefull

Greetings and Good Night

Well, my clutch broke down. And when we where replacing it, we found out that the engine had its belt blown off in the past. The replaced only some valves and made him run again. Then they sold it. I was the one buying it unfortunatly.

My engine is completeley recoverd, The gearbox is completely recoverd, and there is of course a new clutch.
I've now driven like 10.000 km with this situation, and it is much better i can tell you thumbsup.gif
It have cost me a lot, but it is worth it. I may have the hgt with the least ammount of km here in holland. hypocrite.gif
BravaHGT
Uhh i feel sorry for that. I also had so problems with the engine. Actually the car should be here already, but on the first "testride" after 250km, in the middle of Austria the cylinder head gasket get tired and it burn trough, so my water get boil and they had to pick me up with an trailer. Unfortunatelly my friend who build the car, lives 600km from there, so i wait like 7 hours in a park place. I also have new clutch and a lot of other things because like we said, if the engine is in, its impossible to do with it anything.
Do you count how many liters can take for 100km, i mean when you are driving normally. It makes a big fun to drive it, right, the sound, and that you can always trust for that engine. Honestly befor i never had opportunity to sit in Hgt, so this is the first time but i've to tell you, it convinced me.
Rayman19876
If i am driving normally, i can get it around 520 km on one tank, thats a 60 ltr tank. But i think it's nog a bad thing if you have a fast driving style. Most rides are to my work, and thats about 15 minutes. But if i go on the highway, and the engine is warm, it's not so bad to kick him on it's tail every once and a while. It keeps the car from being lazy.

Last time i had a circuit day, and with that tank i drove only 310 km hypocrite.gif .

Hello Peter,

I've seen your car many times in Nijkerk and Ermelo.(never thought you had so much adjustments done, only spotted the Xenon)
I live in Harderwijk and my girlfriend lives in Ermelo and we both work in Nijkerk. Saw the car many times by Brunotti/Blue brands. Do you still have problems with the audio? The company i work for is closed during the holidays and my car is broken and i'm working on it this week. Maybe you want to work on the cars on the same day at my parents place in Hierden (3km from Harderwijk)?

You can mail me or send a PM.

William

I guess i don't have to translate you

Gyorsulás (utcai gumival mért adat, normál, száraz aszfalton):
0-100 km/h: 5,9 s
0-60 mph: 5,6 s
0-400 m: 14,0 s
0-400 m: 155,3 km/h
0-1/4 mi: 96,7 mph

You can compare the car with Subaru Wrx Sti, E46 M3. The owner of V6 drove ma around by their test track, i can tell you, if it's the first time that you sit in so powerfull car, you will shake when you jump out. It's amazing, he says it's funny when his driving on the highway after a big Bmw, Mercedes or whatever and by 220(gps) he flash with light that they should move or accelerate.

Hey William

I suppose i saw you too many times, i guess you have 17 inch rims on the car, i mean in the past.

Actually when you could see the car it was normal Brava with some audio installation. I came to The Netherlands in 2008 march. At that time the car was in good condition and it was pretty too but than once i bought Marea fenders and bumper and the guy who were painting it, use a bit brighter color. I came back like that to here. Once on the last summer was such a big rain, that i made 1-1.5m high waves with the car. On the next day i check the engine and the water was standing by the spark plugs. With that i were by three services, once in Lelystad. The car stands there for two weeks, they ask me 80 euro but the car behave in the same way like befor. Than Nijkerk, next to Kwikfit. They change me the spark cabels for 70 euro, nothing changed. Than they said that maybe the battery is, they can check it but i've to buy it. So from there i also walk away. The last was Emmeloord Fiat Dealer. They change me 1 injection for 350 euro and still the car was driving like 1.2 engine. That was the last service, than i decided to buy another car but i cancel that idea because i already spent a lot for this vehicle. So i brought it home and now it's look a bit better.

Thanks for kind invitation but unfortunatelly the car is still in Hunagry. I'll drive there on friday and i'll come back on sunday. For me would be the right time after two weeks, because next week i'm working in afternoon shift.

Anyway sometimes we colud make a round with cars in the area, besides i guess you've more friends who like modificated cars.

Looking forward for your answer

Greetings

Péter

I'm the only one of my friend with a modified car. The other drive in the cars of their parents and one works at Audi and drives a few different car every year. I also drive a VW Polo 6N 1.6, low milage and cheap to drive smile.gif
My vacation ends week 31, sow we have to meet in a weekend or in the evening. I hope my car works properly by than. The distributionbelt has slipt a teeth and the head was in bad shape. I'm doing the repairs this week and hope to drive next week. Hopefully i have all my horsepower back.

We will keep in touch bij PM or mail, i don't visit this forum every day.
